Book Launched!

On 10 April at the SM Joshi Hall, the Book was launched at the hands of Babasaheb Purandare in the presence of Ninad Bedekar and Prin. NK Mahajan. The hall was full. A slide show showing the various locales associated with the Campaign was shown by the author. Ninad Bedekar and Babasaheb praised the book and Babasaheb said the book was a true memorial to the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Panipat.

The book is available in leading English language book stores in Pune and at Strand Book Stall, Fort, Mumbai.

The Book in English by this name will be published in 2011. It will have maps, actual site photographs, quotes from authentic old letters from the era before and after the historic battle. 

It is written by Dr.Uday S Kulkarni after extensive research of documents and actual locations spread over Delhi, Gauripur- Baghpat, Panipat, Kunjpura, Shukratal, Najibabad and Patthar gad fort.

Eminent historian Shri Ninad Bedekar has commented on the book, ‘Dr. Uday Kulkarni has come out with a book written with a precision of a History researcher. Here is a book on the Battle of Panipat, 1761, which the ardent readers were longing for.....’

The book is under publication and will have over 250 pages and several original pictures with genealogies and information on the over hundred characters that strode the national stage at the time.
